5. What is your recruitment process?
After we receive your CV, the in-house recruiting office, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and department physicians screen them against our minimum qualifications and department needs. Short, initial phone interviews are conducted by the department's physician leader, followed by a more in-depth phone interview with a small group. A packet of information is sent to the candidate that includes a Pre-Interview Credentialing Form, with which he/she may indicate continued interest by providing references and brief pre-credentialing information. We like to get to know our candidates further through reference checks before making interview decisions. Our interview visits typically encompass 2-4 days and are designed to provide everyone involved the opportunity to get to know each other in both professional and relaxed settings. Candidates and spouses leave with a realistic look at WVMC and the community.
